![]() For the time being only Xbox 360 controllers will be supported, but other info will be added later on so that anyone can create a profile easily. Obviously there are many different gamepads to choose from and Xpadder should support just about every controller out there. Grab the free version on sourceforge, here (installer password: unfedzombie), or get the paid version on the Xpadder website. Xpadder is a paid app, but there are still freeware versions. For Fear and Loathing in New Vegas, most gamepads will need to double up some buttons to open the ability to use the FPS Weapon Wheel, PN Vision Modes, or JIP Selective Fire Modes. Even using advanced functions to bind multiple keys to a single button is quite simple with some time to play with the program. The two profiles are set up the same way for BoI but the new version & old versions use different profile formats.Controller emulation is a simple procedure with a little bit practice using Xpadder. If you are using xpadder 5.3 (download here), the last freeware version, USE THIS PROFILE INSTEAD. Important edit 6 months later: that profile only works with a (recent, registered) version of Xpadder. The other thing is a bit cheaty, I set up ABXY to be turbo button versions of the arrow keys, for the rare occasion that I get Chocolate Milk and really want to cheese it (I suck charging Chocolate Milk, but it's great if you have a turbo button controller.) That's why they have pink above the buttons (representing turbo.) You can then alternate between charged shots and rapid fire chocolate milk (as long as you can remember/switch control pads.) (Click the wrench icon by the dpad/analog stick to configure it.) This is one reason Xpadder is great over other input emulators. I set up the right stick to be a 4-way but keep the left stick 8-way because you can only shoot in the 4 cardinal directions, but you can move in 8 directions. The important things I've tweaked in my xpadder profile came about after a lot of play time, so it might not be immediately obvious if you're not familiar with Xpadder settings or Binding of Isaac, but you can see it illustrated in the right-stick settings and the xpadder picture if you have to recreate it. xpadderprofile file set up like this, and those images in case the profiles don't work. xpaddercontroller file (I use a wireless 360 pad YMMV)Īn. ![]() This file in the OP seems to only have a 360 pad controller image in it though, not a whole Xpadder profile. ![]()
